The Stockport-born Great Britain forward Kristy Lavin has been named English Player of the Season after a superb showing for her country during the opening leg of the Eurobasket qualifiers in September last year.
And following the recent anouncement of Magic's Jeff Jones as EBL coach of the year, Georgia Jones has reminded her dad he isn't the only basketball talent in the family.
Georgia has been named English Under-16 Player of the Year for a second consecutive season after leading England's Under-16 team in scoring and assists in their 2006 Euro campaign and competing above her age GB's senior women with Lavin.
Meanwhile, fans may not have seen much of Steven Gayle in recent months, but the Longsight ace hasn't completely lost his appetite for the game.
Gayle didn't feature in the second half of Magic's successful campaign last season after a fall-out with coach Jones.
But he won yesterday's Midnight Madness roadshow event at Belle Vue - where players are judged and scored on their team and individual performances - ahead of Mancunian BBL stars Yorick Williams and Delme Herriman.
