7. Tumble dryer firemen keep their jobs
Manchester Evening News, Wednesday 11 October 2006 FOUR firemen involved in a tumble dryer prank have kept their jobs. Andy Bruce was filmed being spun inside the industrial-size machine at Blackley fire station in Manchester. Mr Bruce and three colleagues have all been given a final written warning for their part in the stunt. They have also been fined 13 days' pay - about é850. They were charged with breaching health and safety rules and bringing Greater Manchester Fire Service into disrepute.
