Many of the 21 RC primary schools in the inner city and in Little Hulton are half empty because the tradition of having large families has waned.

    Manchester Evening News, Monday 26 July 2004 SIX Salford schools are to have their own police officers. The idea was launched two years ago and Albion High in Charlestown was the first to have an officer, followed by Buile Hill at Pendleton.
