THIS week, in the countdown to the M.E.N. Residential Property Awards, we look at the contenders in the family home category.

Designers and developers are being increasingly innovative in this traditional area of the market and the short-list reflects the exciting mix of properties now available and how build methods, style, facilities and fit-out are all dramatically changing.

There are three short-listed schemes: Islington Square, Broughton Green and Parklands in Cheadle Hulme.
