THE need for more bedrooms is the main reason women want to move house according to Alliance & Leicester. Over a fifth of women want to move for this reason while "independence" is the main reason to move for men.

Around 12 per cent say they want to move just to make money on their property while a quarter of men want to move for this reason.

With house prices up by more than 10 per cent in 2004 alone, property investors still seem positive about making money on their houses, according to the research. Tweet
