The perfect blend

It's all very well landing yourself a luxurious new apartment, but there are times when contemporary developments simply don't cut it.

Sure, it's great to move your minimalist furniture into a sleek and stylish new building with glass and aluminium in abundance, but isn't it more appealing for new residents and neighbours alike when a new development blends right in?

This is surely one of the philosophies Bryant Homes has borne firmly in mind with Aspen in West Disdbury.

Bryant is a house builder which ranks the environment high on its list of priorities when choosing a new site, which means a Bryant development will blend seamlessly into its habitat.

Built on the site of a former hospital at Nell Lane, Aspen is an exclusive development comprising just 55 apartments arranged in six, three- and four-storey blocks.

Architecturally, Aspen is stunning. Each apartment block has a distinctive curved aluminium roof. Beige brickwork, as well as white render and cedar cladding, matches the existing style of the area. Contrasting feature boxes, in cedar wood, have been used around the French doors to emphasise the balcony and lounge areas.

Inside, the stunning design is continued throughout thanks to a high specification and attention to detail.

All en suites and bathrooms have Twyfords sanitaryware and tiled floors come as standard, but no other decisions are made regarding internal flooring which allows you maximum choice of floor coverings.

Bosch integrated appliances adorn the kitchen allowing you to cope with dinner parties and Sunday lunches thanks to the stainless steel hob, oven and cooker hood, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher.

But you don't have to stay in to enjoy Aspen as the development is close to a multitude of shops, restaurants and bars in Didsbury. What's more, it's just four miles from Manchester's vibrant centre where you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to entertainment and nightlife.

For those who enjoy something a bit more energetic, nearby Withington Pools offers a range of indoor sports facilities and there are country walks and cycle paths to be had along the Mersey Valley and water sports at Chorlton Water Park.

It's these great benefits that have made West Didsbury such a popular place for renters, but Bryant Homes' regional sales and marketing director, Peter Vella, believes many will consider buying once they see Aspen.

"With so much to choose from on the rental market in Didsbury this is seen as the easy option by many 20 and 30 somethings," said Peter.

"However, the benefits of buying a property rather than renting have always been well known, particularly in terms of the money that can be literally thrown away each month in rent. So, when the long-term financial benefits of buying are coupled with the specification of our Aspen apartments, we really do have something good to shout about."

Aspen is ideally placed for public transport too as Metro and bus links are very convenient, eliminating the need to drive into the city. But if you do have your own vehicle, you'll be pleased to know that each apartment has an allocated parking space. There are also bicycle stores.

Aspen has a secure gated entry system for pedestrians and vehicles and CCTV monitors in the car park. Entrances can be viewed through selected TV channels. There are audio entry systems to all apartments.

There are currently 40 apartments available, all are two-bedroom and some are duplexes. The duplexes have large 30ft terraces. Prices for the two-bedroom apartments start at £203,000 with duplexes starting from £316,000.
