The findings are revealed in a recent You-Gov survey in which people were asked “If you could wind the clock back to when you had your first job after completing full-time education, would you choose the same occupation or occupations that you have had, or something different?”
Of the 2,300 people surveyed, 57 per cent said they would choose a different job. A further 9 per cent said they were unsure whether they would choose the same career. Only 34 per cent were happy and said they would make the same decisions again.
The survey shows that many people remain on the same career path they embarked on as young as 18 despite being unhappy in their job. Tweet
