THE grey revolution has been won at one Manchester office.
The oldest worker, Joan Winnington, is a sprightly 83 years old, her friend Mildred is 70 and computer expert Marilyn is 56.
The city centre finance company also has 72-year- old Larry Kelly working as a collector. And secretary Patricia - known as the "dolly bird" - is a youthful 46.
Now Jacques and Clay-Johnson Finance in Newton Street has been nominated by Mrs Winnington for an award in our campaign to ban age discrimination from the workplace.
The Manchester Evening News joined forces with the Department of Employment to ask readers to nominate individuals and companies who make a special contribution to challenging deep-rooted prejudices about age in the workplace.
• Nominations to: Age Diversity Regional Award, c/o Manchester Evening News, 164 Deansgate, Manchester M60 2RD.
