KYLIE Minogue left hundreds of fans disappointed when she walked off stage after performing just a handful of songs.
The pop princess, who was into the second night of a six date stay in Manchester, told the audience that she was ill and could not continue with the show.
Fan Liliana Ashton said people in the audience were stunned when the house lights went up. "People were just looking at each other and didn't know what to do. I am so disappointed. I waited ages to get the chance to see her. I've no idea whether they will arrange for replacement tickets or what will happen. I just hope that she is OK and there's no major problem."
Another fan, Chris Bird was there with his family. He said: "As far as I was concerned I was happy just to see her even if it was just for six songs. If anyone went home disappointed they should remember the fact that she has been unwell. While she was on stage she was brilliant. The mood from everyone around was of concern for Kylie."
At the start of the night, Kylie told the audience she had a cold. When she decided to cancel the show, Kylie apologised to the audience and said that it was the first time in her career that she felt she couldn't go on.
The show was due to end at 11pm but was stopped at about 9pm after Kylie had performed a song with her sister Dannii.
Flu
A spokesman for the tour Jon Bills later said: "Several members of the crew, the tour manager and Kylie have been suffering from flu é but she didn't want to let anyone down. She wanted to try to get through the show, but had to cut it short. She wanted to soldier on."
He said there was no connection to Minogue's recovery from treatment for breast cancer, which led to a year-and-a-half career hiatus before a comeback tour that began in Sydney, Australia, last November.
Minogue, 38, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005. She underwent successful surgery in her hometown of Melbourne, Australia, that month, followed by five months of chemotherapy in Paris.
Mr Bills said the tour manager would make a decision on Sunday on whether to proceed with Monday's show and didn't yet know what will happen with the ticket situation.
An M.E.N Arena spokesman said: "We are working on the basis that the shows will go ahead as scheduled from Monday night. The audience were told to hold onto their tickets until further notice and the check the
M.E.N Arena website for further details or contact their point of purchase. Normally if a show is cancelled or postponed people will have the choice of having their tickets refunded or attend a re-scheduled date although no decision has been made on this yet.

Also as previously stated there were long intervals where Kylie got changed. In total i would say 25 mins max of songs if that.
Apparently over a certain time, i think 45 mins they do not have to issue refunds.
Looks liked me and 12000 others have been fleeced.
Get well soon Kylie..

I feel for the girl and her team, English weather does get to all of us from time to time.
I think that we needed more help in getting out of the car parks and I did feel sorry for the two guys in the Arena car park doing their best to get out.
The lady in the small 4x4, your language and rudeness was not required, my 6 year old asked me what it meant, the name you called to the attendant? it took some quick talking?
Back to the concert, I am sure they will do something for the refunds and I am trying to get my tickets exchanged for next Friday night......

It was obvious she was ill but like a trooper she tried to carry on.
Dannii helped her through the end of it all though.
The audience were gutted and so was she but Kylie's health is the most important thing of all.

Then the first costume change took 10 mins. I didn't think she was going to come back on but like a trooper she did. Then she just couldn't go on. She left the stage in tears.
Dont get me wrong i was gutted but at the end of the day she has been ill and shouldn't of been aloud on stage at all. I hope that kylie gets better soon, but i do believe she's done too much to soon, But in a second breath thats just Kylie. Wanting to please her fans.

She really tried to soldier on but was cearly struggling to do so.
We just hope she gets better soon as was the general feeling of everyone there....
She was chatty with the audience and clearly upset by having to cancel ....She's still our shining star!!!!

Relieved to find out it was flu, but equally angry to read a few (not all) of the comments here.
I think people need to put this in perspective. A year ago I doubt Kylie even considered she'd ever be touring again, and to see her back on the stage is amazing. At the end of the day though, her health has to come first.
I'm sure anyone who was there tonight will get the chance to see her again - those who had tickets for her Australian dates back in 2004/05 didn't have to buy them again for this tour.
I wish her all the best.

This week I myself was hit by a flu type bug and was pondering what a dilemma it must be for performers such as Kylie. I'm sure all the fans will agree, it's always the right decision to put your health first and hope she gets well soon.

Flu may seem nothing to some, but after the recent illness suffered by Little Kylie, believe me, it can be a very big worry and you should applaud her at least trying for you.
That said, I hope you get replacement tickets and do enjoy yourselves.

What Kylie said to us last night was absolutely right - it's a valuable lesson that she shouldn't push herself too far, and even full of a stinking cold, she strikes a wonderful pose.
How many of us can say we were at THIS unique concert? We got a lot of chat and an impromptu song no one else will hear this tour, so be grateful. She's never cut a show short before, in a 20 year career. Give her credit for showing up and trying her best.
Here's hoping she's feeling 100% for Monday's gig. Get well soon Kylie & Co!
