Great Manchester Run 2006

ONCE again runners in their thousands flock to Manchester for Britain's biggest and most prestigious 10k running event.

Runners of all ages and abilities take to the city streets for the 2006 BUPA Great Manchester Run.

Corrie stars Antony Cotton (Sean) and Suzie Blake (Bev) have pledged their support along with former star Denise Welch and presenter Gordon Burns.

Runaway winner of last year's Great North Run Zersenay Tadesse will be setting the pace along with Benita Johnson, a past winner of the Great North Run who is just getting back to top form.

The event always promises to be a fun day, with plenty of cash being raised for good causes.

Firstly condolences to Paul Hind on not completing the run! We all know you tried your best Paul and with a little more effort we're sure you will complete next years!!!! You need to be fit enough to finish the run before you beat Lee, your older (fatter) twin!
