WITH 55 days to go before the World Cup kick-off, football fever is already getting a grip on Greater Manchester.
Hundreds of thousands of fans are making plans to fly or drive to Germany to watch Wayne Rooney and the England team try to win the trophy for the first time since 1966.
Many more will flock to watch the games on big screens in pubs and bars, while companies are bracing themselves for the inevitable hangovers.

I will be watching it in my house on my own, as know one likes me.
I`m a Manchester bloke,lived there for 43 years,of course there`s only 1 team in Manch.Anyway long stiry short. Inow live &work in Barbados but for the World Cup Rooney or no Rooney I`m comin to the rainey town,(don`t use that other word)too watch a few good games on BIG screens & with mates who I`ve not seen for a couple of years,Oh! an also for the draught GUINNESS, can taste it now.
