Handcuffs boy, 12, in sex attack on pal

A BOY of 12 who sexually abused a young playmate after restraining him with toy handcuffs was sentenced to a three-year supervision order.

The boy, from Wigan, invited his eight-year-old victim to his bedroom to play computer games several times between April and July last year, Liverpool Crown Court heard.

On one occasion, he took a pair of handcuffs from his toy box and cuffed his victim to a drawer handle before sexually assaulting and attempting to rape him.

He was convicted of two counts of attempted rape and seven counts of sexual assault following a seven-day trial last month.

The boy also forced his victim to perform sex acts on an eight-year-old girl, for which he was convicted of three counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual offences.

Secret

The victim kept the abuse secret for three months after his abuser warned that the police would take him away if he spoke up.

He eventually confided in his older sister, who told her parents.

The boy was also convicted of a further count of sexually assaulting a child after he entered a garden and attacked a four-year-old boy.

Det Con Craig Hurst, who investigated the case for Greater Manchester Police, said: "This was an horrendous ordeal for those involved.

"Any sexual offence is despicable, but the age of those involved in this incident makes it particularly shocking.

"It took courage for the eight-year-old boy to come forward to police."

At 12 years old he should know that what he has done is totally wrong and illegal. I agree that the punishment is a joke and no deterent

yeah thats right lock him up in a nice safe environment, give him a couple of games consoles and eventually he will get a new identity and be assisted to get jobs etc to ease him back into normal life.... personally i would put this little monster down never mind lock him up how on earth does someone so young have such filthy disgusting malicious and horrendous tendancies? are his parents being punished too for allowing their child to turn into a monster cos something is not right with the parents for allowing him to be that disturbed? although i suppose we'll get all the sob stories now like its nothing to do with the parents, hes had a hard life etc etc - my thoughts are with the young victims what they and their parents must have gone through is unthinkable

Yeah, be soft, be understanding, give him what he wants, don't punish for wrongdoing etc. THAT'S THE RIGHT WAY TO LOOK AFTER HIM-NOT! AND A TYPICAL CARING DOGOODER ATTITUDE THAT THIS KID NEEDS HELP NOT PUNISHMENT. I WOULD RATHER HE WAS LOCKED AWAY WITH HARD PUNISHMENT FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE. HE IS A MONSTER AND SHOULD PAY THE PRICE FOR THIS CRIME.
