VICTORIA Beckham is hot favourite to take over from judge Louis Walsh on TV's The X-Factor.
The former Spice Girl is rumoured to be keen to step onto the judging panel alongside Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne.
Reports today suggest that ITV could offer Posh a £1m deal.
Cowell has said: "I'd love to judge with Victoria. She is very witty and she can poke fun at herself.
"I think The X Factor is the best opportunity for the public to see the real side of her. She's interesting and good TV."
Row
The way was paved when Victoria's mentor Simon Fuller settled a legal row with Cowell over whether X Factor was a rip-off of Pop Idol.
Insiders at the hit show say Walsh is now unlikely to heal his rift with Cowell and Osbourne.
The Westlife manager has been signed up as a judge on another wannabe show Are You the Voice? and is thought unlikely to return for the next series of X Factor.
Victoria is following in the footsteps of fellow Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, who was a judge on a previous TV talent show, Popstars The Rivals, which spawned successful girl band Girls Aloud. They are now managed by Louis Walsh.
Manchester contestant Shayne Ward remains favourite to win this year's competition.
Tomorrow he will battle with Brenda, Andy and Journey South for a place in the finals.
