FORMER British Glam-rock star Gary Glitter admitted to police that an 11-year-old girl slept in his bed, but denied sexually abusing her, his lawyer said in Vietnam.

Glitter, pictured, told police the girl slept in his bed because she was afraid of ghosts, his attorney said.

Glitter, 61, real name Paul Francis Gadd, is being held in a prison outside Vung Tau city on suspicion of engaging in obscene acts with a child - he faces up to 12 years in jail and possibly even a firing squad.

He is alleged to have had sex with several underage girls, including an 11 and 12-year-old. Tweet
