POP star Prince Prince has been rocking the joint a bit too much . . . and now he needs a hip replacement.
The tiny singer is 47 years old and for years has teetered on high heels during his energetic stage act.
And he believes all that strutting and dancing has finally stacked up against him.
Prince, a Jehovah's Witness, is thought to be against having surgery as his religion does not allow blood transfusions, but his doctors have been prescribing anti-inflammatory drugs to help him cope.
"Over time, his condition will worsen and he'll have to have the surgery," a source told a US magazine. "He's causing more damage by continuing to walk."

I went for 14 years with the operation and ended harming my other hip and knee. The pain for all those years was something to carry. I made my situation worse by not having the replacement when they suggested. So I had to go back in and get the second hip replaced. Please go and get the replacement so you don't damaged the rest of your body. We love out here.

There are of course lots of alternatives available instead of blood transfusions....so he's really just putting off a big op don't ya think?
