HUNDREDS of jobs will be on offer tomorrow with more than 50 companies taking part in Manchester's premier recruitment fair.
Job Scene will feature firms from a wide range of industries looking to collect CVs and carry out on-the-spot interviews.
The event - organised by the Manchester Evening News and backed by the city council - runs on Friday and Saturday and is open from 10am to 4pm on both days.
It is being held at the Manchester International Convention Centre.
Entry is free and visitors will also be able to learn how to get the right training and education, start a business or write a successful CV.
Exhibitors with jobs on offer will include the city council, Bupa, Greater Manchester Police, the Halifax, Malmaison, Marks and Spencer, Matalan, O2, Nationwide and the Royal Air Force.
'Interactive'
"Job Scene is a totally interactive event," said Sharon Rowe, exhibitions manager for organisers TJW Exhibitions.
"The event is designed for long-term career planning as well as finding the next rung on the ladder.
"People can find help on training and education they may need to fulfil their ambitions, or whatever career would suit their skills best."
Job Scene is an annual event which last year attracted 4,500 visitors.
It is one of a number of initiatives to help residents get access to an estimated 100,000 new jobs being created in Manchester.
Others include the M.E.N.-backed SkillCity, aimed at giving 13-25 year olds information about careers, training and education options.
The organisers of Job Scene have urged people attending to take along their CV to impress employers or get some help sprucing it up.
The event is part of a nationwide series which also visits Coventry, Cardiff, Newport, Basingstoke, Middlesbrough, London, Southampton, Sheffield, Glasgow and Reading.
