AS Summer draws to a close and Autumn begins, Manchester Council are reminding the City's drivers to watch their speed.
Around nine people die every day on Britain's roads and by far the biggest cause is driving too fast for the conditions.
Even in good conditions the difference between stopping at 30mph and 35mph is an extra stopping distance of around six metres.
But with visibility and weather starting to worsen, the council are reminding drivers that reducing speed could make the difference between life and death.

Saying cycle lanes aren't used is a complete lie, i use them, and so do many others.
Cycling is growing year on year, the more lanes the better.
I cant wait till all cars are banned from the city centre, and fuel is B#2 litre.
