I think its a fantastic site. I only joined last year and have met up with about 7 or 8 old schoolfriends that I had lost touch with. Well worth the joining fee, its really easy and fun to use.
A friend of mine found the FR entry for a junior colleague of hers, in which he boasted that he was the MD of the company he worked for. When the REAL MD saw this entry, he didn't find it very amusing, and shortly thereafter the employee in question parted company with the business!
The comment 'what happens after that is beyond our control' simply goes to show they have ltlle regard for the damage and heartache they are causing.
At the end of the day Friends Reunited is a money making machine run by people who neither care or are affected by its consequences and equally do not have the courage to even admit it.

It all depends on what you are really looking for ..an old flame , or long lost friends and may I also add, relatives ! In my case I was reunited with my stepbrother and his family that I hadn't seen or heard from in over 30yrs . Also I am now in regular contact with a girlfriend I used to work with over 40yrs ago. So to me FRU has been worth every cent .
