ACTRESS Anna Friel has given birth to a girl, it was announced today.
The Rochdale-born star, who is 29 today, and actor partner David Thewlis, 42, are said to be delighted.
The child, who has been named Gracie, was born at London's Portland Hospital, weighing 7lb 4oz.
Anna's dad Des confirmed that both mother and baby were doing well and are now back at their London home after the birth on Saturday.
He said: "Gracie is the most beautiful little girl you've ever seen, but I suppose all proud grandads say that."
He revealed Gracie isn't named after Rochdale's most famous entertainer Gracie Fields but after Anna's great great grandmother.
