DEMAND for retail workers has fallen in recent months but there has been a strong growth in recruitment in the Armed Forces, a new report showed today.

A survey of online recruitment activities also revealed a growth in education jobs and for skilled workers in agriculture and fisheries.

Research among 300 UK recruitment websites by online recruitment company Monster showed "sizeable" increases in online job availability and employer demand.

There was a sharp rise in recruitment activity in the UK Armed Forces last month but a decline in the retail sector.
