PROPERTY is continuing to generate profits for Peter Emerson Jones and his family.
Their empire is worth '462m and spans shopping centres, office blocks and foreign resorts.
Mr Jones, 70, a former carpenter, entered the property business in 1958.
He is now chairman of the Emerson group and a director of more than 90 companies within the business, which includes Salford's Lowry Outlet Mall.
He lives with his wife, Audrey, 68, in Alderley Edge. Sons Tony, 37, and Mark, 40, are main board directors of the family's main corporate vehicle.
Mr Jones and his family are worth an estimated '462m.

Peter lived with his parents in Bute Street, Moston,Manchester.His father was a carpenter with the CWS and his mother had an off licence on Rochdale Road, Harpurhey.We were fairly inseperable as children and went lengthy cycle rides and Boggart Hole Clough was our playground.On passing my 11plus our ways seperated and were never renewed.It's good to keep in touch with Manchester.Like PeterItoo am 70 ears of age.
