IS this the picture that proves visitors from outer space are checking out a holiday in Anglesey?
Baguley grandfather Alex Mera, 57, claims to have captured a UFO on camera from the window of his caravan in Lligwy Bay, north Wales.
He and his grand- daughters saw the mysterious dark rectangular object, with a glint in the bottom left corner move up beyond the clouds without noise for 20 minutes last week.
He said: "I looked out toward the sea and there it was, this rectangular object moving diagonally up and to the left.
"I'm not sure what it was, but it didn't look like a plane, and it went up too high to be a kite."
Granddaughter Jennifer Mera, 17, who also saw the eerie flying oblong, said: "I'm convinced this was a UFO, just by its shape and the way it moved. I do believe they exist and I've seen them before at night in Alderley Edge."
When he saw the picture, Jennifer's dad and paranormal expert Stephen Mera, 38, was equally convinced. He said: "Usually we get balls of light late at night, but this was in the middle of the day and it has a discernable shape."
As soon as he saw the photo he checked the height of the clouds, and using simple trigonometry he discovered that the object was around 130 metres long and 18m in depth. Most intriguingly, it was moving at between 55 and 60 mph, much slower than a normal aircraft.
But UFO expert Jenny Randalls was less sure.
She said: "Anglesey itself is a hotspot for UFO sightings. From the Menai Straits to the Conway Valley seem to be a bit of a highway for them, but there are several RAF bases nearby, some of which are testing new remote controlled aircraft."
The MOD refused to comment on the phenomenon.

Here is a simple test you can use to see if it is a UFO. Can you identify it? If not, then it is indeed unidentified. Is it flying? And finally, is it an object? From this report, and until it is otherwise identified, I would stick my neck out and say that it is, in fact, a UFO. Just call me Columbo.
This is so ridiculous i cant beleive what im seeing. There is an RAF airbase in Angelsey, it was probably a helicopter, maybe a light aircraft. And if he's seen them in alderley edge too thats also right near manchester airport. I live under the flightpath at manchester and ive seen some funny looking aircraft but im not stupid and i do realise they are not UFO's. Sort your head out man!

Could the MEN please confirm the exact date when the sighting happened. In the article it just says last week
Dont be so quick to judge anyone who says "ive seen a ufo" as a crackpot if you were not present, you dont know.
I to have seen a `ufo` on llygwy beach. I was there with several other people at the time. as it was night time, roughly 1 am, there was nobody around to be flying kites or alike. what we saw was a light in the sky, which we thought was a satalite in space, until it zig-zagged quickly, and moved in a triangular shape. it then sped up and shot from the middle of the sky off to the horizon in a few seconds. It may well be new technology being tested at the airbase, as I believe, and if it is, it is certainly incredible technology because I`ve seen no aircraft in existence that can move at 90 degree angles without barely slowing down. For all people who assume other peoples perception to be more ignorant than their own, then go there yourself and see, they have appeared several times since I saw them (1996) some of the people I was with have been back to watch them at night, three or four times.
And if you don`t see any ufo's you wil still at least get to enjoy a spectacular nights sky, the likes of which you never see around manchester anymore, due to the light pollution.
I have seen this ufo.One night i was stood at the back door with it open,i saw this black trianguler type plane flying very low just above the roofs of the houses 4ft. As it passed overhead youcouldnt hear a thing only like a slight buzz.It dropped something down in the neighbours garden,like a fire-ball,which was smoldering for half hour.The plane just went into the distance.Also i spotted it over Preswich,it is designed not to be seen as it moulds itselfinto the dark sky,it was a clear night.It was hoovering still for aprox 20 mins,then i went inside and it had gone.
-RE Article Could this be a ufo- I live in Llandudno but work in Bangor on my way to work at 6.30am most mornings on the A55 just past Penmaenmar you can look out to sea over anglesey i see strange lights and balls of light on a regular basis and have done for the past 3 years it seems to be getting more regular now
What I dont understand about UFOs is why they visit out of the way places? Surely if they were hyper intelligent alien life forms, they would visit centers of culture, history and science? After traveling 100 000 light years, I know I would rather see the Pyramids or the Parthenon, not Anglesey? I also know we have been sending radio transmissions and such like into space for decades. We have never received one transmission of any kind back! But, space ships out of the blue turn up in North Wales! Unless they bumped into it by mistake then realised it was a bit dull, thought the rest of the Earth was same and then left for another, more interesting planet. Who knows? Also, I know some UFO believers and they also believe in Ghosts, conspiracy theories and the Tooth Fairy! Give us break! Aliens visiting Wales, why?

Well it's an Object, that is Flying, and has yet to be Identified. so yes it is a UFO.
