UNITED star Rio Ferdinand was reported to have been furious when team-mates covered his new '200,000 Bentley with strawberry yoghurt.

It is understood the pranksters smeared the yoghurt over the car when it was parked at the Reds' training ground complex at Carrington.

The England international, who earns around '60,000 a week, was apparently forced to have the 6.8 litre Bentley Arnage convertible professionally cleaned.

A club insider said: "Rio's face was a picture when he saw it, he went absolutely mad. It was the first time he had taken the car out and it looked absolutely pristine.

"The lads at United are always taking the mickey out of Rio for being so flash and they couldn't resist the wind up."
