Mario Balotelli is up for the cup ... and the saucer. The City star and team-mate Patrick Vieira served tea and sandwiches as volunteers for the day at St Ann’s Hospice in Stockport.
Balotelli, 20, who is set to appear in City’s first FA Cup final appearance for 30 years next week, delighted patients and staff at the Heald Green centre.

Volunteer Shirley Stephens, who he helped to serve up cuppas, said: "He was very nice and polite – just a pleasant young man. He had no idea about how to make tea, though, so I was happy to help out!"
Veteran France star Vieira said: "It’s really special – and difficult – to come to a place like this, where people aren’t feeling well, and if we can spend a few hours putting smiles on people’s faces it has to be good. Most of the people we met were City fans and it’s good for footballers to do these things."
Patient Barry Daniels, 65, from Heald Green, has been a City fan for more than 50 years. He said: "It’s made my day meeting the two lads – they are such nice young men. Now I hope they can win the cup for City!"
The hospice is looking for bucket-shaking volunteers for St Ann’s Day on May 17, when it aims for a major fund-raising push to mark its 40th birthday.

..BUT it is written in to their contracts that they must do so much off the field work for their clubs each season so it won't have been off their own backs.
Fairplay to them though, they do look to have genuine smiles on their faces!
