Replay: FA Cup fever for City v United in the Manchester derby semi final at Wembley

FA cup fever gripped Manchester when City took on United at Wembley in an historic semi-final showdown.

An estimated 60,000 fans travelled to London to cheer on the Reds and the Blues at the sell-out game and many thousands more will watched back home on TV.

The MEN's team of journalists travelled down to London and you can follow their progress via our live blog.

Journalist John Scheerhout made the trip with a coachload of United fans while sports news reporter Mike Keegan travelled with City supporters. We monitored their progress down the M6 with a live geotracking map on this page.

Here is the location of Mike Keegan, who is with Manchester City fans:

And this is where John Scheerhout has got to, travelling with Manchester United supporters.

They also sent updates on the sights, sounds and atmosphere on the way to Wembley via Twitter, which you can see in our live blog below.

Our sports team travelled south ready to cover the match and they also kept us in touch with the Manchester exodus heading for London.

The MEN's 'four men in a car' where sports editor Peter Spencer, writer James Robson, City specialist Stuart Brennan and United reporter Stuart Mathieson. All of them will be sending updates via Twitter which were fed into our live blog.

you blues are at it already according to mancini and co you have won this match before a ball is kicked, in fact according to the great mancini you have won next seasons title........ you never ever learn so quick to shout so quick to boast, where as down the road united are quiet no boasting no big claims they dont have to they have learned in all there success that its true pride comes before a fall, better to respect your opponents and quietly do the bussness on the pitch, you guys i think all your boasting and mad claims are borne from a real fear you are going to fail, confidence doesnt equal boastings, so noisey neighbours carry on with your boastings shout from the roof tops how your going to turn us over then united will queitly teach you a lesson and take your dream away. some of you have turned on tevez saying he doesnt want to play he has done nothing last seven games, how disrespectful tevez is the reason why your where you are with out him you would be mid table show some respect if thats possible for you lot

Come on City, you owe me this after 50 years of support. I'll be sat in the Spanish Sunshine gripping a large San Miguel, City shirt on, flag flying. And my youngest son is keeping the family support by being pitchside working, Big chance he could lose his job if City win, god knows how he'll be able to control himself!!!!!!!! CTID Forever blue.

For anyone wondering why the United coach on the map is taking the detour to Worcester, it's to pick up some fans. Btw, nice to see City's coach icon on the map being the old red rose badge.

Surely an environmental farce - 60,000 people travelling from Manchester to London & back
to watch a football match , which should be played locally : how green is that ?

Come on City give it your all and attack United because its the only way to play against them, and by doing so will give you a much better chance.
Remember the Reds never give up so 100% consentration is required for the whole match.
Apart from Tevez we should be at full strength so I wouldnt say we were underdogs
Lets hope for a great game between the two Manchester clubs and make our supporters proud.
