Hairdressers spend thousands on presents for children in care

Shellina Gulam-Hussein, owner of the Eden Square store, said:
Hairdressers used their takings to buy thousands of pounds of presents for children and teenagers in care.

Staff at HD Studios in Urmston spent over £2,000 on gifts ranging from colouring books to toy racing cars.

They raised the money for children and young people in Trafford Council's care by donating part of their weekend takings and a raffle with customers.

Shellina Gulam-Hussein, owner of the Eden Square store, said: "We have been in Urmston for 12 months now and wanted to thank our customers and give something back to the community."
