A damn handy one is VLC, a media player that plays just about everything, is free, and is remarkably versatile.

This is the website of the book of one of the oddest studies in recent times: to determine whether people are indeed born lucky. Running for a decade, it's hard to take most of it seriously, especially since it suggests those born in May are among the most fortunate... oh hang on, my lottery numbers have just come up.
