The North West has experienced an unprecedented surge in cases of sexually transmitted infections, according to a new report.
The shock figures for the year 2003 were revealed at The Sexual Health of the North West Conference, jointly organised by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) and the Centre for Public Health at Liverpool John Moores University.
The report says 80 people are diagnosed with diseases such as syphilis, gonorrhoea and clamydia every day in the region. Tweet
