The mother of a three-year-old boy who died after he was run over by a car has spoken of her grief at losing her 'angel'.
Harley Richardson was struck by a Vauxhall Astra at the junction of Chorley New Road and New Barn Street in the Heaton area of Bolton.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene at 7pm on Wednesday, but Harley, of Chorley Old Road, was later pronounced dead.
His distraught mother Natasha Melville said: "He was my angel. I am numb and completely empty".
Harley's dad David Richardson added: "He was precious. I don't know how to feel, except sick. It just does not feel real.
"His three brothers will never get to bond with him."
Harley also had a five-year-old sister Taya Melville, who said: "I really liked playing with him."
In a statement, Harley's family added: "He was a really good, mischievous character who everybody loved."
Greater Manchester Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to call traffic police on 0161 856 7201.
