A teenager has died after an off-road bike with three people aboard crashed into a car.
The 18-year-old was killed when the bike hit a Ford Focus on Manchester Road in Denton at 11.30am today.
Two others who had also been riding on the bike were seriously hurt in the crash.
They are believed to be young men aged in their late teens.
They were taken to hospital although their conditions were not thought to be life-threatening.
Police say it is unclear which of the three had been driving at the time.
Traffic police closed Manchester Road at its junction with Stockport Road while an investigation began into the tragedy.
No-one from the Ford Focus was hurt in the collision.

im not in favour of speed camera's everywhere but if there was a place to put camera's on then its there.
sure it won't be the last death around that area.

I have 2 off-road bikes, however, I race at armature level up and down the country, I also belong to a club with their own track. Further to this I have held a bike license for some 20 years and I know these machines need respect....................
People need to realise 'bikes' are not toys! I implore any parent who knows their kids have them to join a club, keep them safe, legal and ensure they are not a danger to others.

When are the rich and greedy of this country & this world going to put money back into the community and set up clubs and societies for the kids? The footballers and pop star mega millionaires (some from Denton), wealthy capitalists, and corrupt governments could dip into their fat wallets and sort this mess out.
RIP Chris. His family and friends have my deepest sympathy
