Danielle Bardsley failed to turn up in court and so a warrant was issued.

A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a gangster's girlfriend who lived it up on his ill-gotten gains while fiddling benefits.

In July Danielle Bardsley was given a 10-month suspended sentence, two-year supervision order and 250-hours' unpaid community work after admitting money laundering and benefit fraud.

She was due to be back in the dock yesterday for breaching the suspended sentence but failed to turn up and so a warrant was issued.

Bardsley, 29, enjoyed a luxury lifestyle funded by the father of her children, Peter Anderson, an armed robber from Salford.

At the time, most commenters here were amazed that this "gangsters moll" wasn't sentenced to a period of imprisonment for her crimes against the tax payer. What is the betting that when she is apprehended that she will again escape being send to prison based on some dubious grounds thought up by her solicitor that her detention would be detrimental to her children and their needs.

tiggerluc somewhere in Shaw, I was in Manchester this week, I wouldn´t throw stones at the Costa Del "crime" if I were you, it´s infinitely better, and it´s front line of public services more honest - at least the Spanish taxi drivers don´t drive you all over the city centre and charge you 10 quid for a 4 minute journey thinking your foreign and stupid, as just happened to me on Tuesday night on arrival from the Costa del sol. And I doubt this woman would be here, she wouldn´t be able to afford it.

God, you guys are hilarious. A 'gangsters moll'? This isn't the Cotton Club you know. She isn't a gangsters anything. She is just a girl married to a guy who is a criminal and who spent some of his ill gotten gains. Big deal. Did you think she should have called the police and handed him in? If she was any kind of gangsters moll (I still cant say that term without laughing) they would be making a film about her now, not issuing warrants. As it is, they aren't. They aren't because despite the MEN's silly headlines, she is nothing more than the wife of a pretty small time criminal. Not the love child of John Dillenger. Get a life people.

If you had read the article rather than just making your stupid responses to what other commenters have said you would not have failed to notice that this so called "gangsters moll" is a criminal in her own right. She was convicted in July of cheating the benefit system (tax payer) and was sentenced to a 10 month suspended sentence, two year supervision order and, 250 hours unpaid community work after admitting, thats right admitting money laundering and benefit fraud. Bardsley has breached every aspect of her sentence and, I for one hope that she is apprehended and sent to prison for a very long time. You may not be a tax payer but I am and I don't like arrogant nomarks such as Bardsley ripping me off. And let me say this salfordprat, you are either totally out touch with reality and public opinion or you are nothing more than an irritating little troll who gets your kicks by commenting here. If she can be labelled a gangsters Mol then what names can the media come up with for any women married to men who commit crime and live on the proceeds.What name has been invented for partners of MP'S for instance.And should their parents and children be checked out for their involvement.What about 'tradesmen' always on tv ripping elderly people off.Should there be a name for them?In the past many women didnt have the choice they have now and to survive went along with their partners way of life.Now there is no excuse.She has offences in her own right and needs to get back,face up to them and tell her gangster partner that if he wants that life ,he,s on his own.You are not invisible.Get a grip and put your kids and yourself on the right track.The party's over.

No-one painted Danielle as Mother Teresa (correct spelling).

Perhaps the journalist who penned this can print the correct story and maybe even an apology, something makes me doubt that though.

Laura, the reason I didn't post earlier was that, unlike yourself, I occasionally leave the house. The Christmas markets were lovely tonight.

Meeeoww!!!! Go for it Sevedore. Is that name based on any connection to Salford Docks (my father toiled on them many a year) or do you just have an expensive 'apartment' on the Quays?

Yes, she commited benefit fraud. i would still rather see her have her few ill gotten quid than some over fed, over paid, dishonest politicion. But as they didn't actually break the law (just wrote them to suit themselves) I am sure you dont mind that.

As far as being out of touch with reality is concerned - Well the money laundering charge was in all likelyhood based on the fact that she actually spent some of the money in a local shop. She probably passed a dodgy fiver to a guy named Ahmed for a loaf of bread and a bottle of milk. Not for jetting off to Switzerland and setting up a shell company, then running proceeds through several different countries like in some John Grisham novel.

As far as being out of touch with public opinion is concernedI am going to have to burst your little bubble my friend and let you into a secret....shhhh. Come closer now........this stupid comment board doesn't really reflect public opinion. Weird innit. No, there are only around 20 or 30 regular posters on here I would guess. So if you are baseing it on this then you need to wake up and smell the java.

So why dont you get of your little high horse and start complaining about something that actually matters; like or the white collar crime, committed mostly by people with no need to make more money than they were born with but do so out of pure and unquenchable GREED, that costs this nation billions and goes almost entirely unpunished.
