THE death of a woman on a Metrolink line is not being treated as suspicious by police.

Tram services had to be suspended on part of the Bury line after the body was found near Crumpsall station on Monday.

Her injuries were so severe it is thought she was hit by a tram, but it is unclear when it happened.

The woman was believed to be in her mid-30s but has still not been identified.
