PAEDOPHILE Gary Glitter is believed to be house hunting in Greater Manchester. Representatives claiming to be acting for the disgraced former rock star - real name Paul Gadd - say he is on the lookout for a secluded property in rural Saddleworth, near Oldham.
An estate agent has confirmed a man claiming to be the 65-year-old's agent had instructed his firm to look for a £900,000 base in the area with Glitter himself expected to fly in by helicopter next week to step up the search.
One hotel in the area has already refused permission for the pair to stay.
Staff at the Clough Manor, in Denshaw, took a call from the man claiming to be Glitter's agent who tried to book a room under the name of Mr Gadd.
Saddleworth estate agent Gwyn Jones, confirmed his company had been approached by representatives they were 'led to believe' acted for Glitter.
Glitter was jailed for four months in 1999 after admitting having a computer collection of 4,000 photographs of children being abused. He was convicted again in Vietnam in 2006 for molesting two local girls aged 11 and 12 and served 27 months in prison.

Irrespective of his crimes Gadd has served his time (and is no doubt under close scrutiny by the authorities). If he wants to move somewhere to escape the baying, mouth-breathing hordes of paediatrician-beaters then who can blame him.
Saddleworth? So what? Last time I looked he wasn't a murderer - or shall we all go round and put his windows through for that now?

I'm sure the authorities have him at the top of their list because of his notoriety. If he does it again lock him up, but he shouldn't be hounded.

Either you have never been the victim of sexual abuse or you are ignorant to the fact that once a child sex attacker, always a child sex attacker. These animals dont recover, it is built into them, they cant help it and they will continue to abuse until the day they die. He is scum, even went to Vietnam to abuse young children hoping to get away with it. I for one would not want him anywhere near me or my family. He needs locking up for ever because he is one sick, perverted individual. He should never have been released back into society and I hope he isnt able to live a quiet, peaceful life.

Obviously I don't know your circumstances, but if this piece of filth had had his way with your eight year-old son, you'd be quite happy for him to live next door to you once he'd spent his time in prison? It's people like you that make this world the place it is. Once a paedophile, always a paedophile. If heterosexuality became unlawful, do you really think people would stop wanting the opposite sex because of the law? People can't change their sexual desires because the law/morality states it's wrong. According to you, it's ok for children to be raped but murder is a big no-no! What a twisted world you live in!

It happenned because 99.9% of the British population and 100% of politicians and media people do not actually know what a paedophile, or for that matter a paedo- anything, is. If they studied the etymology of the 'p' word they would discover that it actually means something quite different to somebody who seeks sexual or other gratificiation by abusing and destroying children.
