The astonishing four-year-old is finally getting ready to go home after a six month battle back to health.
Harley, who nearly died from meningitis, had to have all four limbs amputated but has made a remarkable recovery.
Our photos show him enjoying play therapy at the new Royal Manchester Children's Hospital but he will soon be starting to spend time at home to start adapting to life outside hospital.
His parents, Samantha and Adam, have been told he will be able to move home in time for Christmas and they have been getting their new house in Cheadle Heath ready for him.
Generous M.E.N. readers have helped raise more than £565,000 for the fund.
Sam, 24, from Hazel Grove, who is due to move into the specially adapted bungalow next week, said: "We are so looking forward to getting Harley home. He is doing really well, he is back to being Harley again.
"He had a bug over the weekend but he is pretty much ready to go home but he is still not eating enough so he is being tube fed at night and the doctors are waiting to work out what to do about that.
Working hard
"His physiotherapists are really pleased with him, he is working really hard now with them and he has school as well.
"We have been telling him all about the house and talks all the time about how he wants his new bedroom decorated."
Harley has physiotherapy and lessons from a play specialist every morning. When doctors decide he is ready to go home he will spend a few hours at home before returning to the wards - gradually building up until he is able to spend the night at home.
The family moved out of rented accommodation when Harley became sick and have stayed at the hospital and with family since then.
His parents were due to get married in December but have now postponed their wedding until February. Sam is currently trying to plan the ceremony around visits to the hospital and looking after their younger son Tyler.
Owen Morris, a staff nurse on ward 77 where Harley has been treated for the last three months, said: "We are delighted that it is looking likely that Harley will be home for Christmas after many months in our hospital.
"He has improved dramatically thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff, including his doctors, the nursing staff, healthcare support workers, and therapy team, as well as the unwavering support of his parents.
Brave
"He is a very brave and courageous little boy who has battled his way back to health against all the odds."
Harley became sick at the end of May and his parents rushed him to the old children's hospital at Pendlebury. His arms were amputated below the elbow and his legs below the knee at the start of June.
Harley had to be revived three times and had dozens of operations to graft skin onto his wounds.
He needed months of intensive care and he was transferred to the new Royal Manchester Children's Hospital when it opened in June.
His treatment will continue as he grows. He will need to return to the hospital to be fitted with artificial limbs in the New Year and will need an operation every year to help the skin from several grafts stretch and grow.
A massive fund-raising drive was launched for the youngster after the M.E.N and our sister paper, the Stockport Express, revealed his battle against meningitis.
His parents originally said they needed £40,000 to help him lead a better life but so far more than £500,000 has been raised.
Offenders lend helping hand
Stockport offenders supervised by Greater Manchester Probation Trust have helped decorate the new house which is all on one level.
Family friend Mike Hulbert, who is planning more fundraising events to pay for Harley's ongoing care, said: "People have been incredibly generous. We are still getting a couple of cheques each day in the post.
"We can't thank people enough for all the support they have given."
