A PLANE from Manchester was forced to make an emergency landing after football fans started fighting on board.
The Easyjet flight to Munich was diverted to Frankfurt after the brawl broke out.
The pilot made the decision because he feared the situation was escalating.
Two English fans - part of a group of 12 travelling together - started fighting as they flew to see top German teams Bayern Munich and Schalke 04 play in a Bundesliga match.
The two men, aged 24 and 36, were described as 'extremely drunk'.
Punches
They began throwing punches at one another and could not be restrained by cabin crew.
A spokesman for Frankfurt police said: "The captain wanted to avoid a further escalation and endangerment to the aircraft so put down in Frankfurt."
The two troublemakers were led away by police but only the 24-year-old was detained and warned that he would face charges.
None of the group they were travelling with was allowed to continue the journey to Munich.
An Easyjet spokesman said the violence did not place anyone at risk and that the captain had acted entirely properly.
He added that `no such arguments between passengers would be tolerated on flights'.
Police would not name the men or say where they came from.

It was very scary when the fight kicked off, the staff, 3 women and 1 man, the man shouted and left one of the female cabin crew to deal with it while he scurried down the aisle to the cockpit. Worryingly he actually entered the cockpit while the fight was still ensuing.
This situation is a pure indication that the booze culture of Britain is getting out of control.

In plain language, when are we going to see the big boot on the correct foot when it comes to louts?

So basically your calling me a thug?
More than likely, and judging by most football fans, probably of limited intelligence, can manage a few grunts and a song or two. More than likely overweight too, squeezing a beer gut into a knock off chavtastic football top. Unlikely to have ever played the game either, but never the less an armchair expert on "your" team.

So, Grumpy, you're a proper little armchair psychologist aren't you. Sort yourself out mate. You can tar me with whatever brush you want, but in slating ALL football fans, you are also tarring my family and close friends. Grow up sunshine.

I do not cry when a football team loses. I do not want to fight another person because he supports another team.
I do not sing like an underdeveloped child at a football match.
I do not think nothing is worth living when my beloved team lose a match, then call for the manager to be sacked, when its the fault of the poncey players.
And if you can't see humour in my posts then...

On a more serious note, football fans on the whole don't do themselves any favours, so you have them to blame for giving u bad names.

I have to agree with you, it must just be a coincidence that violence follows football!
A load of blokes who dont feel the love at home and dedicate their entire lives to watch a load of overpaid pre madonnas rolling around on the floor crying when they have been touched by an opponent.
You never hear of trouble at Rugby matches ( proper mans game )
Im off now to grab a warm pint of carlsberg and a pie before i hug some blokes and smash someones face in!

Too true, but be careful, you'll upset the "non violent" football fans with your comments, after all, they are professional people.
Do they still use those rattle things? Cus I'm sure they'll get thrown out of the pram soon if they do.
