PASSENGERS at Manchester Airport were evacuated because of an electrical fault with a shop till.
The central departure area in Terminal Two was cleared after the problem was reported.
An airport spokesman said the decision to evacuate was taken as a precaution and passengers had been able to return inside after around 30 minutes.

BREAKING NEWS...The centre of Stockport was today brought to a standstill after a woman slipped and fell on a discarded pie crust. It was later discovered that the woman in question was at the same time smoking a fag, pushing a tripple buggy and swigging a can of special brew, and the crust was in fact from her lunch and had 'popped' out of the bag. The crust (from a steak and onion slice) has been taken away for examination. Waynetta Slob is now seeking compensation for the cleaning of her pink croc shoes after finding gravy stains between the toes.
