A PETROL station attendant was threatened with a knife when two balaclava-clad thugs burst in and demanded money from the till.
He was unhurt but was left shaken in the robbery, which happened at the Texaco service station on Albert Road, Farnworth.
Police have issued CCTVÂ stills of the raid which happened at 11.20pm on July 6.
Det Sgt Paul Reed from Bolton CID said: "Although no violence was used, these men were armed with a weapon and are clearly dangerous. If anyone recognises the offenders in the stills I would urge them to contact police so we can make sure no one else is a victim of their greed."
One of the men, who were both white and about 5ft 6ins, was chubby and had a northern accent. His accomplice was thin.
Witnesses should call Bolton CID on 0161 856 2126 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.

Still beating the drum for 'Iranian-style justice', eh john?
Just wondering how you differentiate between intent and mental incapacity in these sort of cases.
Or does everyone convicted of a murder and rape get sent to death row?
We've tried varieties of sentencing, and that's not worked. We tried capitol punishment; didn't work.
Perhaps it's time to really start tackling the root causes of crime?
And, believe me, I'm no 'bleeding heart liberal' but the facts from history and other countries indicate we need to give people a reason not to commit crime in the first place.
