A ROAD was closed this morning after a tree fell down.
Drivers using Bramhall Lane South, in Bramhall, Stockport, were told to take diversions after the incident.
The road was shut in both directions between Robin's Lane and Holland Road. Heavy rain is being blamed for the incident.
The tree was chopped into sections ready to be moved and the road was cleared at 9am.
There was also a crash on the M60. One lane was closed clockwise due to the incident between junctions six and seven (Sale and Stretford).

Listen the A75 between Dumfries and Castle Douglas was closed this morning due to escaped cattle on the road. I had to divert through Dalbeattie to get to work! Now that's news.
