MORE THAN 40 firefighters spent the night dealing with a huge blaze at a disused mill.
Crews from across the region tackled the inferno at Victory Mill on Rose Hill Street, in Heywood, near Rochdale.
Flames were pouring out of the second and third floors of the three-storey mill and crews fought to bring it under control and stop it spreading to nearby buildings.
Residents living close by were evacuated following fears the mill might collapse. A number of roads were also closed.
Fire fighters remained at the scene this morning. A fire service spokesman said it was 'unclear' what had caused the blaze.

what should be done with them? builidngs need a purpose, otherwise who pays for their upkeep and maintainence, unless they should just be left to fall down?

Stop making things for "kids and teens" they are only kids and teens for a decade. They don't want anything, that is why they tear it down. How about making a sanatorium for the adult and sane.
I think there are more fires to come...insurance is vital.
