TWO cottages and a barn were badly damaged in a suspected arson attack.

Twenty firefighters were called to the cottages on Tunshill Lane, in Milnrow, near Rochdale just after midnight.

No-one was injured but a fire service spokesman said the cottages were 'severely damaged'. He said the fire was thought to have been started deliberately.
