A FORMER glamour model turned serial bride has pleaded guilty to bigamy after marrying for the fifth time.
Emily Horne, 30, admitted the offence by tying the knot with Oldham man Ashley Baker at a civil ceremony at Chadderton town hall in September 2007.
It was the fifth time she had been a bride but only her first wedding was a legally recognised marriage - meaning she has committed bigamy four times.
In 2004 she was described by a judge as a 'very predatory female' when she was jailed for six months, also for bigamy. At the time she had been married four times.
But she went on to marry again, to Mr Baker. She only told her fifth "husband" of her past as the pair travelled to Scotland on their honeymoon.
Glamour
Horne is originally from York and was known as Amileannya Carmichael, working as a glamour model and actress.
She married for the first time at the age of 18 in 1996 but lost touch with soldier husband Paul Rigby as he was posted abroad.
While still married to Mr Rigby she then married Sean Cunningham in Leeds in 1999 and then Chris Barratt in Rotherham the following year.
West Yorkshire police were alerted about her two unlawful unions and she was cautioned for two offences of bigamy in August 2001.
Personality
By 2002 she had left Mr Barratt and met her fourth husband, James Matthews, on a train.
Within a month she had moved into his Ipswich home and the pair also married. However, it only lasted three months.
She was arrested in January 2003 and jailed for six months in 2004 after she was convicted of bigamy.
At that case a psychiatric report flagged a personality disorder that made Horne alternate between periods of excitement and depression.
Predatory
The judge added that she had been treated ‘generously’ by the Yorkshire police when initially cautioned. He added: “You are an attractive young woman and you might be described as a very predatory female.”
She appeared before Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday dressed in all black with her hair dyed the same colour.
Horne, who lives in the West Midlands, spoke only to confirm her name.
She was granted bail but was ordered not to get in touch with Mr Baker. She will be sentenced on July 27.
