SINGER Susan Boyle pulled out of today’s Britain’s Got Talent shows in Manchester.
A spokesman said she apologised to fans but has been advised to rest.
The news will disappoint thousands of BGT fans in Manchester and across the country – and cast further doubt over the star’s forthcoming performances.
Fans are being offered refunds if they decide not to watch the show.
Scottish-born Boyle, who took the television talent show by storm despite losing out to dance troupe Diversity in the final, was due to perform alongside her BGT colleagues twice today.
She withdrew from both today’s matinee afternoon show and tonight’s show, both at the M.E.N. Arena. No other acts are affected.
Her spokesman said Boyle was ‘disappointed’. A statement released on her behalf said today: “She has been advised to rest today. She has done three amazing performances but she is being advised to rest.
“She is really disappointed because she wants to be out there performing but she has been advised to have this rest.
"She send her sincere apologies to her fans for not appearing in Manchester."
It is understood that a decision will be made later today about Boyle’s participation in the remaining BGT tour dates. She is due to perform in Glasgow tomorrow MON and in Edinburgh on Wednesday.
BGT runner-up Boyle was assessed under the Mental Health Act and admitted to The Priory suffering from exhaustion after the show’s conclusion.
She recovered to take part in the early tour dates, which began in Birmingham on Friday.
All the 10 finalists, including Accrington-born schoolgirl singer Hollie Steel, and last year’s winner George Sampson are performing.
Anyone arriving at the Arena who decides not to watch the show can present their tickets to the M.E.N. Arena box office for a refund.

from Obscurity to Rehab without any of the hard work in-between.
go home love, enjoy the rest of your life, and entertain your family and friends about the time you went to London and had 15 minutes of fame.
being "famous " is not all it's cracked up to be.

Tey think it's funny to have these people sing and dance like jesters in court.

She does seem able to manage a FEW shows before succumbing to what appears to be a combination of fatigue and anxiety, so it's clear she's NOT completely incapacitated.
She really needs to soldier on, however, and build upon her BGT fame - otherwise, public interest will fade away, no matter how well she performs... If she can manage to carry on just now, she may reach the point where SHE can dictate her schedule of appearances... (Unfortunately, I'm guessing that it's all just TOO much for her, and that her career is likey to be short-lived, despite her obvious talent...)

Susan's new to this game, and not such a spring chicken. A tour like this puts large demands on voice and stamina. In addition the persons personality and abilities to perform in front of large audiences.
I think she/they would have been better off trying to arrange something where she is only performing once a week. At least in the begining until she works out how she and her voice can handle the pressure/s.
