UNITED star Gary Neville received a cheeky request from a Liverpool fan who was accidentally given the footballer's address, email and mobile phone number.
The personal details were on a receipt given to Marvin Herron at The Apple store in the Manchester Arndale. The shop is now investigating.
Marvin, who lives and works in Manchester, left a message on the mobile and Neville's personal assistant got in touch.
Marvin promised he wouldn't make the details public. But later, he sent a text joking he would destroy the receipt if the player scored an own-goal for Liverpool next season.
He wrote: "Hi Gary. I shall get rid of your details if you score an own-goal when you play the 5-times European Champions next season!!!. Ha Ha. Seriously though, I won't band your details around, so don't worry about it."
Neville replied: "Thanks very much."
It is not the first time Liverpool fans have teased Neville, who is reputed to dislike United's Merseyside rivals.
Last year brothers Brian and Gary Greer admitted they created a shrine to Liverpool under a swimming pool while carrying out building work at his £6m Bolton mansion.
Following the latest incident, Marvin said: "I wouldn't do anything disrespectful with the receipt. That wouldn't be right.
"I get a lot of grief from my friends in Liverpool for living in Manchester. I love Manchester, especially the nightlife, but it will never replace home."
Neville made no comment.
