Sir Chris, 33, won gold in the team sprint, men's sprint and the Keirin in Beijing, making him the first Briton to win three golds at one Olympics in 100 years.
Sir Chris already had an Olympic gold at home in Edinburgh, which he won in the 1km time trial in Athens 2004.
His mother Carol, a former nurse specialising in sleep-related illnesses, is also getting an MBE for services to healthcare.
David Brailsford, the man who led Britain's cyclists to eight golds at Beijing, also collects a CBE from the Prince of Wales during the Buckingham Palace ceremony.
Double gold medallist cyclist Bradley Wiggins also picks up his CBE while team mates Victoria Pendleton and Jason Kenny collect their MBEs.
Ellen Hunter, who won two golds at the Paralympics as a tandem cyclist pilot guiding blind Aileen McGlynn, also collects her OBE.
Sailor Ben Ainslie, who won his third gold medal at Beijing, collects a CBE.
Rower Zac Purchase, a gold medallist in the double scull with Mark Hunter, is also set to collect his MBE.

Or just an ordinary family, that can now talk about ordinary people. Not a bad thing. My bike needs fixing Sir Chris, the gears slip and the brakes are my my right foot. Tell you team mates to let me past in the queue at Asda. Well Done.

What has he done worthy of recognition?
A dustbin lid would have been a more fitting tribute ...not worth a carrot, hope he's proud of what he HASN'T done.
