National BBC News is focusing in on "racist" Tameside in East Manchester, where apparently the BNP got 13% of the vote. The BNP vote in Manchester was 8%.
The BNP % vote was actually higher in the East Midlands, West Midlands & North East than in the North West - but strangely wasn't enough to elect a MEP in these regions.

The ministry of funny walks is standing corrected in its orthopaedic footwear too.
As usual the makers of sofas are jubilant that demand for sitting down and watching telly is far more important than voting.

No doubt pubs, bookies, turkey twizzler makers and bingo halls will be pleased to know that the benefit systems-propped, labour voting sheep in Manchester are still alive n kickin. Jeremy kyle must be relieved too that he continues to have ready access to both audience and participation fodder.
