Shop raider hunted

THESE are the eyes of a violent robber who punched a woman shopkeeper in the face.

He struck at the Bargain Booze shop in Monton Road, Salford.

After storming into the shop he attacked the 54-year-old woman demanding cash and pushing her into the cellar before loading money into a yellow carrier bag.

He then ran out of the shop where two accomplices were waiting on a red and a green off-road bike. The three sped off towards Ellesmere Park.

Police Constable Jon Marsh said: "This was an awful experience for the owner. She was very brave to try and stand up to this thug but he was vicious and determined to steal from the shop.

"If you know the identity of those responsible or anything that might help catch him, please contact me."

The attack happened just before 10.30am on Saturday May 2 as the shopkeeper was opening up for the day.

The man in the picture was about 5ft 5in tall and of a small build.

He was wearing a black BMX-style helmet, a grey bomber jacket and grey jeans with a silver patch on the back pocket.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 5250 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

The only reason this tool is wearing a helmet is because he knows he'll get slated for his jug ears!! I know you know it. Three up on a bike, stupid!!
Even if caught the court won't do much.

He should be easy to catch, judging by the helmet and clothes. I doubt he has the intelligence to wear completely different clothing for the robbery. Maybe the Police, once he's caught, could restrain him for five minutes whilst the lady he punched has a go back? And I agree with Dave THE K. I bet he has jug ears plus a shaved head.
