A COMPLEX web of mobile phone evidence led police to the killers of Ucal Chin and Tyrone Gilbert.
Experts analysed 80,000 calls from 29 phones and plotted patterns of contact.
Using cell-sites - the locations of antennae through which calls and texts are rooted - police placed Gooch Gang members at key locations.
The calls added to testimony and forensic evidence - including fingerprints, firearm residue, and a balaclava - to form a case against the defendants.
By looking at cell-site evidence, which is recorded by mobile phone companies for billing, Joyce was placed in the silver Audi from where fatal shots were fired at Ucal Chin.
Calls made five days earlier placed Gooch Gang associates in Luton where the silver Audi was bought.
Evidence
Phone evidence also placed Joyce in the area of Frobisher Close in the minutes before the murder of Tyrone Gilbert.
Lee Amos and Ricardo Williams can also be placed in cars used in the shooting, which included two Audis and a Honda Legend.
A car salesman identified Narada Williams as one of the men who bought the Honda Legend, and a flurry of calls suggested he co-ordinated events from a safe place on the day of the murder.
A number of other Gooch associates were also linked to events by evidence. While they did not stand trial, the evidence against them helped build the case against their friends in the dock.
A GMP spokesman said: "Mobile phone evidence was a key part of this investigation.
"In order to help the jury to understand this complex evidence an animation was produced to show how the mobile phone evidence supported the prosecution's case."

Isn’t this the same person who has been linked to other murders? And has been charged for running through a hospital with a gun? What is that “Gangster term” “Live by the gun, die by the gun” Sound appropriate in this case to me.
To add to that:
A friend of mine who was killed in a car accident, who has never been in trouble with the police, and in general-a decent member of society.
But still the council will not allow her family to place flowers at the scene of the accident and if they do the council remove them.
So why is it in this case that a plaque is allowed to be placed on the wall without permission, glorifying gun and gang crime/death? (And if that was wasn’t bad enough-it actually insights known gang members to congregate round and drink and smoke)
Who says this is a fair and democratic society?
