The MEN is naming and shaming criminals convicted of serious offences during April.

We will be publishing an online gallery of offenders who have been convicted and jailed at courts around Greater Manchester throughout the month.

How about a gallery of criminals who are still to be caught.

This is a good thing.Years ago when local papers named and shamed people for the most trivial of offences,I was against it.
Times have changed.
We have to do what is in our power now.

Yes, like they did the other year and a friend of mine appeared on the front page listed as being "wanted by police and currently in hiding", despite the fact that he lived with his father - who phoned the police and was informed by them that his son's picture had been mistakenly printed...

You could just use the same photo each time - they all look the same: big ears, staring eyes, shaven head. For women criminals, a stock picture of Waynetta would do.

They need naming and shaming and it should apply to ALL criminals young and old-stuff humanrights guff from Liberty/NSPCC etc!

You can name but I doubt you can shame most of these criminals.

This had to be the best month of the year so far. Jailing Gangsters for 39 years each can't be a bad thing for Manchester. Keep it up G.M.P.|
