A MAN has been seriously injured after falling off his bike.
The 55-year-old banged his head on the kerb after he was overtaken by a lorry.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to a deep cut to his head and a neck injury.
The incident happened at 2.15pm today on Manchester Road in Oldham.
Pc Michelle Quinn said: "Given it appears no contact between the cyclist and lorry was made, I doubt the driver will even be aware what has happened. "I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward. "I would also ask anyone who was driving a blue HGV along Manchester Road at the time of the incident to call me."
Anyone with any information should call the road policing unit on 0161 856 8809.
