A FORMER psychologist aims to show she has a head for fashion by launching an ethical clothing brand.

After two years of preparation, Adriana Galimberti-Rennie will launch her Sophia Couture website next week.

After 23 years as a psychologist - first with the NHS and then with Manchester University - Adriana, 46, decided it was time for a change.

She has recruited two Manchester fashion graduates, Flo Tewson, 23, and Jenna Copham, 22, as designers.

The first public showing of her autumn/winter collection was at London Fashion Week last September.

She will be selling her clothing, made from fair-trade materials, through her website, sophia-couture.co.uk.

She said: "We aim to show beautifully-fashioned items can be produced in a way that respects our environment and those making them."
